Heroines of the French Revolution
Heroines of the French Revolution is a exploration of the invisible women who played significant roles in one of the most pivotal periods of Western civilization in defining the democratic ideals of liberty and equality that we hold so dear to this day. Through extensive on-location research and photography, the resulting product is a series of multi-media works supported by writing as I uncover her-story of the French Revolution while highlighting links to our zeitgeist through a passionate project of feminist revisionism.
